Q & A
What is TRAK’s mission statement?
To create a network of individuals dedicated to improving the lives of children in need.
Does TRAK have a website?
Is TRAK a federally registered 501c3 organization and a tax-exempt organization?
Yes. All of your donations are tax deductible and our Federal ID number will be provided once the donation is received. If you would like to see our federal approval letter please ask.
Who does TRAK raise money for?
The TRAK Foundation raises money for children in need. We provide grants to underfunded children’s charities that meet the strict criteria we have developed. This criteria includes that all grant money goes directly to the funding of programs that these charities represent and not to any board member salaries. Our grant application is available on the TRAK website for anyone to review.
How are these charities chosen?
Our selection process is based around how we are able to most effectively assist children in need. We are not linked with any specific cause related to children. The reason we have chosen to stay as a broad charitable based organization is so we are flexible to assist the charities that are doing the most to improve the lives of children that need help. Whether a child is struggling with a medical, emotional, or family based issue we want to be able to assist them because children are the most vulnerable and regardless of the issue need our help the most. We feel remaining a broad based charitable organization is our best opportunity to achieve that goal. The TRAK Foundation takes applications, researches, compares and selects three charities every year that have been voted on by the board members.
How many members are there in TRAK and who is involved?
The TRAK team is an ever growing community of individuals that want to strive to help kids in need and utilize one another to make the most progress to achieve this goal. We provide a network for people to make a difference, meet new people, participate in exciting races, and be socially active all while raising money for an amazing cause. Our numbers continue to grow but we can always use one more.
What programs does TRAK run?
The TRAK Foundation runs a program called “Active and Outdoor Healing”. We link with children’s charities and outdoor adventure based businesses to create a safe and active atmosphere for kids to be outside interacting with children with similar obstacles. We also introduce trained counselors that are able to approach these children while they are physically, aesthetically, and emotionally engaged which makes them much more apt to give honest responses in comparison to being in a one on one office atmosphere. We are always brainstorming and creating so the goal is to have many more unique and forward thinking programs on the horizon.
What will our assistance or donation achieve?
Your donation will help change a child’s life. No one that is part of the TRAK Foundation is paid we all donate our time, money, and efforts without compensation. You can feel confident that your donation is going directly to a great cause.
What are some of the events TRAK has been involved in?
TRAK team creates social and athletic events that will raise money for the grants we provide to charities. These include events like brewery tours, ping pong tournaments, family friendly 5ks, and so much more. We also compete in organized athletic events to raise awareness and to recruit new members. These include Ragnar races, Tough Mudders, Spartan Races, local races, and any other events that our members want to compete in.
How is the organization making an impact in my community?
We are creating and organizing a network of young professionals that can achieve so much more as a team than they can as individuals. Our network will benefit local children’s charities and make our community a more productive and caring place. TRAK is continuing to try to implement our “Active and Outdoor Healing” program where ever our network is able to extend to and we need as much help as we can get .
